    This position is located at Reynolds Army Community Hospital, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

    Responsibilities

    As a Nurse (APRN Pract/Family Practice), you will:

    • Provide independent and collaborative specialty, comprehensive and therapeutic health care services, integrating the art and science of nursing into medical practice.
    • Perform medical management functions which include assessment of acute, non-acute and chronic clinical and psychological diagnosis, new patient intake/screening, history and physical examination, laboratory and diagnostic studies; to include interpretation, ordering appropriate medications and treatments, providing staff education, and the initiation of a therapeutic plan in accordance with medical practice.
    • Present patient cases and classes for patient care conferences in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
    • Provide educational management to patients and their families regarding disease processes and diagnostic tests.

    Qualifications

    Specialized experience: 1 year specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience with taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, performing diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and document results in relation to established physical standards; independently diagnose and treat patients in routine and emergency situations; treat chronic health problems such as hypertension and diabetes in a clinic environment.

     

    Current Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure

     

    Current State Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority

     

    Certifying body as a Family Nurse Practitioner
