Major duties and responsibilities will include:
GS-05 grade level:Specialized experience includes: displays a high level of customer service in all interactions, including answering phones, taking and processing meal orders in compliance with medically ordered diet by computer, phone or in person from inpatient veterans, nursing, providers, dietitians and family members; ability to use dietetics software to print meal tickets and produce production reports, complete quality monitors to ensure food items and menu selections for regular and therapeutic diets. Some food preparation as required.
OR
Applicants may substitute education for the experience required for the GS-05 level. Successful completion of a full four (4) year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to this position (i.e. nutrition, dietary therapy, food and nutrition science, food service systems management, etc.). This education must have been obtained in an accredited business or technical school, junior college, college or university for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. NOTE: Transcripts must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation.
