Overview

This position is located at WOMACK Army Medical Center in  Fort Liberty, NC.

Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Liberty, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Liberty, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.

 

Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg which  is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Responsibilities

As a Clinical/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner you will:

 

  • Provide advanced comprehensive psychiatric nursing care for a variety of behavioral health patients.
  • Perform intake procedures for psychiatric patients.
  • Collaborate with the patient's total treatment team in order to formulate a total treatment plan.
  • Perform psychiatric patient observations in order to identify any significant behavior and reaction patterns.
  • Prescribe medications to psychiatric patients seeking behavioral health services.

 

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

  

Candidate must have a current, active, valid, certificate, unrestricted license, or authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.

 

Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed.
