As a Physician (Occupational Medicine), you will:
- * Directs and participates in the evaluation and treatment, both initial and follow-up, of work-related injuries or diseases NMCP civilian and military personnel.
- * Directs and participates in the provision of limited medical services to NMCP beneficiaries employees for non-occupational medical conditions.
- * Serves as occupational medicine consultant (e.g., hazardous conditions or exposures; interpretation of medically-related Navy or OSHA regulations; occupational exposures to infectious agents, etc.).
- * Serve as medical provider to the radiation health program on medical matters ensures certification is up-to-date.
- * May serve as temporary Department Head, Occupational Medicine, Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, at Portsmouth, during temporary absences of the latter.
- * May provide limited, temporary coverage of other area Navy occupational health clinics (BHC-NNSY, Naval Station Norfolk, Boone, Oceana, or Yorktown) as necessary.
- * Assist in development and oversight for the Occupational Health Department budget.
