Fort Johnson (formerly Fort Polk) is an Army post located in Vernon Parish in Louisiana seven miles from Leesville, Louisiana. Duties

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric diagnosis, identified problems, and treatment needs for each case.
• Utilize social work systems and psychological theories, principals, and techniques in treatment plan development.
• Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses to include factors such as history of trauma, co-occurring conditions, and suicide.
• Provide individual and group clinical counseling services using various evidenced based modalities as clinically indicated for adults.

Basic Requirements for Social Worker (Clinical):

Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting comprehensive evaluations; providing psychotherapy; and developing treatment plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Licensure: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
