About the Position: Position is in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center; 80 hours every two weeks with an additional "on-call" shift as scheduled. Must rotate from day shift to night shift to meet unit missions and staffing needs.

• Provide highly specialized nursing care to patients, including critically ill patients.

• Formulate complex plans to meet patient care needs and to continually revise goals and/or objectives, according to changes in patient status.

• Administer medications to patients as directed.

• Assist with complex nursing and diagnostic procedures and/or be responsible for advanced cardiac life support efforts until a physician arrives.

• Float to other critical care units when needed and orient to Charge Nurse and Rapid Response Team Nurse.
