This position is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Department of Radiology Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

 

Ft . Eisenhower is adjacent to Augusta, GA famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Eisenhower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains.

Responsibilities

As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist you will:

 

  • Performs and evaluates a variety of difficult radiographic examinations for accuracy and proper identification to include, first and last name of patient, date, ID# and date of birth, and anatomical markers.
  • Performs procedures such as oral cholangiogram, arthrograms of the various joints, venograms, hysterosalpingograms, scanograms, sonograms, intravenous pyelograms, enhanced studies of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.
  • Ensures that sterile supplies, contrast materials, or other required equipment is present and set up.
  • Ensures proper completion of all required examinations prior to release of the patient from the clinic
  • Initiate requests for repeat films for deviations from standard positioning methods and technical settings.

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

 

Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (l) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.
