This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital, Fort Moore, GA.

 

Fort Moore is located in the "Tri-Community" comprised of Columbus, GA; Ft. Moore, GA; and Phenix City, AL. Columbus (Georgia's second-largest city) is home to the 15-mile trail known as the Chattahoochee RiverWalk. The RiverWalk provides an excellent facility to bike, in-line skate, jog, or just take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenery. Columbus offers a variety of attractions such as the State Theatre of Georgia, the historic Springer Opera House; the RiverCenter, a performance site for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as well as companies for national Broadway show tours, comedians and entertainers; the National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus; the National Infantry Museum, which displays a large collection of military art and artifacts; the Columbus Museum, one of the largest state-of-the-art facilities in the Southeast; and the beautiful Historic District - circa 1850-1870. The stunning Florida gulf shores and Blue Ridge Mountains are only a few hours' drive.

Responsibilities

As a Physician ( Emergency Medicine) you will:

 

  • Provide patient care to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Order laboratory, x-ray and other diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and treat surgical disorders including lifesaving emergency cardiac surgery and lessor procedures.

 

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

 

Board Certified/ Eligible

 

 

Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, Association of American Medical Colleges, Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.

 

Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
