Madigan

 

Madigan Army Medical Center is seeking Clinical Psychologists for the Embedded Behavioral Health Clinics on  Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM). This clinic model is an early intervention and treatment structure of Behavioral Health that promotes Soldier readiness. It provides multidisciplinary Behavioral Health care to Soldier in close proximity to their unit's work area and in close coordination with unit leaders. Duties include conducting psychological assessments of active duty service members with a wide variety of psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional function, providing individual and group therapy, psychoeducational sessions, and psychotherapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Professional Clinical Psychologist for Traumatic Brain Injury Program for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) and Western Regional Medical Command.
  • Provide psychological screening and assessment (clinical interview, assessment, scoring, interpretation, report writing) with a broad range of active-duty service members and eligible retirees and dependents.
  • As advisor and consultant, assists in developing, implementing and managing the TBI Program for the psychological assessment of behavioral effects of central nervous system (CNS) dysfunction.
  • Provide professional consultation and liaison to other medical departments within MAMC and Western Region Medical Center regarding the identification and diagnosis of TBI and complex neurobehavioral cases.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of specialized professional literature and scientific findings.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist:

Degree:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.


AND

License: The Clinical Psychologist position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction. (NOTE: You must provide a copy of your license with your application package.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes performing psychological evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing behavioral health interventions.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
