Overview

This position is located in theDepartment of Radiology Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

 

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

Responsibilities

As a Physician (Radiologist) you will:

 

  • Obtain history for general radio-graphic diagnoses, carrying out appropriate physical examinations, obtaining indicated laboratory test results, and assessing the severity of illness.
  • Provide full formal counseling with patients, thoroughly documenting all aspects of the encounter in the Medical Treatment Record.
  • Provide consultation, reporting the radio-logic diagnostics examination, delivering interpretation of the study and the diagnoses of x-ray to the clinician.
  • Patient responsibility within the Department when patients are present for examination, including overall supervision of critically ill patients and for emergency treatment and resuscitative measures, when necessary.

 

Qualifications

US Citizenship Required

 

The position require a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree and a current license to practice in the state or territory of the US

 

Board Certified or Eligible Physician in Diagnostic Radiology for a full range of cases.
