Serve as aAdvanced Practice Nurse (Family Practice)at the Army Medical Center Eisenhower located on Fort Eisenhower, GA.

 

 A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

  Fort Eisenhower is adjacent to Augusta, Georgia and is famous for its major attractions, such as the Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Eisnehower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the Appalachian Mountains.

Responsibilities

As a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner:

 

  • Examine patients and perform initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment.
  • Diagnoses disease, illness, disorder or injury, institutes treatment of patients.
  • Provides primary care and preventive services to individuals.
  • Evaluate the total health care needs of patients and develops plans to meet their individual need.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, etc. and arranges for physician or specialty consultations.
  • Provide a full range of emergency services or crises interventions in the absence of the physician.
  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate plans to meet patient care needs and continually revise goals and objectives according to changes in patient status.

US Citizenship required 

Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
