This position is located at Naval Branch Health Clinic, Kings Bay, GA. 

 

 

Kings Bay Base is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Camden County, Georgia, United States; it is home to the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. The population was 2,329 at the 2020 census, up from 1,777 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kingsland, Georgia Micropolitan Statistical Area.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

%MCEPASTEBIAs a Clinical Psychologist you will: 

As a Clinical Psychologist you will:  

  • Provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities as clinically indicated to include brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy.
  • Assess acute mental health conditions in beneficiaries who present with such issues.
  • Screen and interview patients, perform bio-psychological social evaluations using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to psychological counseling.
  • Evaluate overall effectiveness of therapeutic efforts, and institute changes to increase effectiveness of therapeutic efforts.

 

 

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required
  • One year experience as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
  • A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. 
  • Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
