Overview

Clinical Psychologist   Kadena Air Base  Okinawa, Japan

Kadena AB in Okinaw

Okinawa

Kadena AB is located in Okinawa City, Okinawa, Japan. Okinawa is a semi-tropical island located between the East China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. Given the extensive tourism, cultural and historical sites, pristine ocean and beaches, live entertainment, parks and restaurants, most people find that Kadena is the best tour of their career!

Although it is the second most populous metropolis in Okinawa, Okinawa City only came into being in 1974, when the towns of Koza and Misato were merged into one.

Okinawa City is very different from the forested, mountainous north and the rolling hills and sugar cane of the south. You will find a strong American flavor mixing with the Okinawan and Japanese cultures because of the concentration of the U.S. bases in the area.

The climate of Okinawa is sub-tropical, with very mild winters and long summers. The sea in Okinawa is never cold, in fact, the temperature drops to a minimum of 72 degrees in February, while it becomes very warm in the summer.
