T​his position is located at the Naval Medicla Center, Camp Lejeune, NC.

 

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Psychologist-Mental Health Consultant to join our  Health Psychology Services Team as a full-time, integrated team member. You will be at the forefront of patient care, using the innovative Primary Care Mental Health (PCMH) model to make a direct impact every day.

Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care- Provide targeted, evidence-based assessments and interventions in brief 30-minute appointments for a wide range of behavioral, chronic medical, and health conditions.

 

Team Collaboration-Act as a core member of the Primary Care team. Participate in daily huddles, facilitate "warm handoffs" from providers, and offer expert consultation on patient care.

 

 

Program Development- Develop, teach, and oversee health education classes for patients. Provide training to primary care staff to enhance the integration of behavioral health services.

 

Clinical Excellence-Utilize a stepped-care approach to maximize patient access. Monitor treatment effectiveness with measurable outcomes and ensure timely, concise documentation.

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

 

Must have practiced as a licensed independent practioner within the past two years

 

Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

 

A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

 

Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
