We are seeking a dedicated and skilled civilian Supervisory Clinical Psychologist to join our team located at Fort Polk, LA.

Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital is a 20-bed military treatment facility located at 1585 3rd Street, Fort Johnson (formerly Fort Polk), Louisiana. It supports active-duty service members, families, rotational units, and retirees, featuring a 12-bed Level III Emergency Department and award-winning rural health care operations.

Responsibilities

Duties

  • Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
  • Offer to providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
  • Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
  • Provide guidance to hospital leadership regarding policy on Psychology issues.
  • Provide professional and clinical consultation to military and community leaders and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Treat severe and complex variations of adult psychological dysfunction by making diagnostic clinical formulations based on the DSM.
  • Supervises performance of federal civilian employees assigned to the clinic to include establishing work priorities, making assignments, monitoring work performed and providing guidance on technical and administrative matter
 

 

Qualifications

US Citizenship required

 

 

Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

 

A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

 

Candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited predoctoral internship.
